Quiero Instalar en mi Debian la fuente que usaba en windows, pero no se hacerlo [Solucionado]

Hola, Chicos y Chicas de EsDebian, llevo ya bastante tiempo usando Debian pero nunca me habia preocupado por instalar las fuentes de windows y resulta que ahora en el trabajo me exigen los documentos hechos con letra arial. Busque la arial.ttf y la copie en mi pc pero no tengo idea de como instalarla. Cuando usaba Ubuntu era facil porque daba doble click y ya se instalaba pero en Debian solo me deja verla con el visor de tipografia y no me da ninguna opcion de instalar. Me gustaria que alguien me ayudara. De antemano agradezco a todos los que me regalen un poquito de su tiempo en aconsejarme para resolver mi problema.

Todas las fuentes con extensión .ttf pueden verse en debian copiandolas en /usr/share/fonts/ttf
para copiarlo aquí dentro tenes que hacerlo como root, si la carpeta ttf no existe créala.

Lo primero que hice fue buscar en google y me dio la primera respuesta de ustedes aptitude install ttf-mscorefonts-installer, pero eso me decia en donde lo lei que era para las fuentes del navegador web y yo lo necesito para office. Voy a probar lo de copiar las fuentes en share a ver si me da resultado.

Edito: Muchas gracias, me funciono copiando la fuente en /usr/share/fonts/truetype/

Marca el tema como solucionado
Busca en la web cual es el programa que instala las fuentes y luego mandas a abrir las fuentes con dicho programa.
Ahora no me acuerdo del nombre del programa ya que como uso muchas fuentes no me es práctico.

La recomendación de tlacuacheoscuro es acertada ya que dicho paquete instala las fuentes de Microsoft, las cuales al estar dentro de /usr/share/ son accesibles para todas las aplicaciones que las requieran, y no sólo para un navegador web como te indicaron. Mira:
